After watching this talk show, I thought of a Korean lady who became very famous, because she lost a lot of weight and got into great shape. She had been fat after delivering babies. She said that she worked out for eight hours everyday, leaving her children at home with their grandmother. Everybody gave her a big hand for her efforts and tried to be the same as her. She showed up on many TV shows and became a commercial model. However, my opinion is different from others. When she decided to go on a diet and exercise, her kids were too young to part from their mom. It seems that she excessively focused on getting a good body shape and neglected her children. Currently, she is a role model for many women. She probably achieved her dream, even though she got divorced and her family left her. I don’t know what real success is. But I’m sure that keeping family happiness is more important than any other things.
In addition, I’d like to talk about my experience. Actually, I had never tried and exercised to lose weight. I had not cared about it, even when I’d overweighed. I’d never controlled my diet and had eaten anything that I’d wanted. Two years ago, I found it hard for me to climb even a hill. I felt more tired and exhausted than a year before. I realized that I’m getting older and weaker. So I began to learn Tennis from my husband and played it early morning every day. I woke up at 4:00 and went to the court. At that time Tennis was a part of my life. I started to lose weight and feel better. Hiking was not painful anymore. Anyway it is necessary that we exercise properly and efficiently for our health, I think.

For the Korean lady's story, I feel the same way that you posted here. But it is kind of common, sadly, when people try to make a success of lives, they often lose something important in their lives. I think that we should know what really makes us happy.
You got it. If you exercise, you would be healthy, feel confident and even be attractive.
What I think is important about being on diet is that we should do moderate amount of exercises before it' too late (have to go on a crash diet, can't spend time with family...etc)
