Larry King with Kellie Lim
No matter how tough we can think life is, there’s usually someone who seems to slap us on the face with their much more complicated life. Things can definitely be worse, always.
A biblical metaphor states that if a tree doesn’t bear fruit, before cutting it off and tossing it into the fire, a hole should be dug around it and be filled with manure. Only after that, if the three continues not to bear fruit, should it be discarded. This metaphor relates exactly to Kellie Lim’s outstanding story of overcoming her amputations.
Such obstacles were possibly the only reason why Kellie succeeded in Med School. If she had had every privilege any girl her age has, she could have easily ended up with a less than mediocre life. Nothing wrong with that, after all, we live in a country where most people go: “whatever”.
Sometimes we can only understand our full potential in life when we are all surrounded by crap. It’s amazing to realize what God intended to say when he decided to make plants live to their fullest just by adding excrement. It’s almost obvious that, in this case, manure means problems, probably lots of it. Who would have thought that the blues would be meant to imply sadness and dilemmas, it surely should be called the browns.

I agree with you that 'problems' can help people to try more than they did before. It would be better if we can do whatever withouht problem, though.
