Sabina's 4th Journal - Jay Leno Show with Kristine Belle
In this show, Kristine and Jay talked about driving, which reminded me of terrible experience. First of all, I think that I’m quite a good driver, even though I have had two accidents in my driving history that were not serious. One was when I just started to drive. During my driving I dropped my phone when the bell rang and I tried to pick it up and crashed into a car ahead. It caused me to pay much more money for insurance and my husband often blamed me for that. The other was after three years, when my insurance costs got over. I was driving near the corner of the sidewalk in an apartment slowing down and watching a group of boys on the sidewalk. Right after turning right I heard a boy screaming and stopped the car and ran out. The boy was crying loudly holding his ankle. Not knowing what happened to him, I lifted him into the car and took him to the emergency room because there was nobody to help him. I thought that I was doing a good favor helping somebody who couldn’t get any help. But the situation shifted against my expectation. I found myself become an injurer in the traffic accident a few hours later. The hospital where I took the boy provided specialty and emergency care to people in traffic accidents. Never asking me, they contacted my car insurance company and the boy’s parents. I tried to explain what really happened and asked the boy to tell the truth. It was in vain. The boy didn’t say anything avoiding eye contact with me. The only thing I could do was call my husband who was working to get help. He came at a run and handled the situation. The result was that my insurance should pay for everything: consolation money, the cost of medical treatment and an infirmarian who took care of the boy, while his parents were working. My insurance bill had sky-rocketed but I got a valuable lesson. “Helping people is not always virtuous”.

I really agreed with “Helping people is not always virtuous”.
Because I had some experience like your's.
Wow.. I want to meet the boy.-_-; So, he didn't say anything after your insurance paid his treatment?
Hi Sabina,
I also agree that "Helping people is not always virtous". Anyway, I believe this accident shows that you are always willing to help others and you may feel happy about that, though it did cost you much!
Very interesting!
