mosaid's journal 3

I saw Oprah’s interview with Aishwarya Rai who is a famous actress in India. Before starting her acting career, she worked as a model, and gained fame after winning the Miss World contest in 1994.
Often acclaimed as the most beautiful woman in the world and I think she is a very beautiful and smart woman that she can communicate in several languages, including Tulu, Hindi, English, Marathi and Tamil and I like her accent when she speaks English.
Actually, I like Indian movies because most of them are romantic, musical and have action which is imputing to Indian culture.
India is an amazing and big country where you will see different languages and religions for example, about 81 percent of the people practice Hinduism, a religion that originated in India. Another 13 percent are Muslims, and millions of others are Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jains. Also, eighteen major languages and more than 1,000 minor languages and dialects are spoken in India with more than 1 billion inhabitants; India ranks second only to China among the world’s most populous countries.
Therefore, some Indian people communicate with each other in English because it’s hard to learn eighteen major languages and that’s why Aishwarya Rai was surprised when many people ask her about her English that they thought she learned outside India.
Also, living with her family surprised Oprah and the audiences because living with parents is popular in Indian culture even in my country which is different than American culture.
Any way it was a nice interview with her and I really enjoyed it.
