Hyunjoo- 5th journal

Kellie Lim reminds me of a Korean woman who got burned 55 percent of the body because of a car accident. She had operation 11 times and was in a hospital for 7 months. She used to be an ordinary college student before that accident, but her appearance was changed a lot and she is now living totally different life. Her name is Jisun. Jisun and Kellie have a very positive mind toward the world commonly. Jisun wrote a book about her story of how she had endured that hard time and how she had lived well with thankful mind. She said she realized how important nail is for people having used 8 shorter fingers and she even was thankful to be able to have a thumb performing the work as all the fingers. I was so impressed how she thinks positively. I’m wondering whether I could overcome that situation if I were her. I even sometimes discontent with the small things surrounding me. I have wanted to have better things rather than just appreciated what I already have. But I realize that how I have to appreciate being healthy provided I get sick. I suppose they might have had same attitude as me if they weren’t sick at all.
Actually there are many people who are suffering from various reasons. However, not all people same as Jisun and Kellie. This is why they are special, became famous and I respect them.
Finally I think, as they showed us, a prior condition to be happy is to be positive in any circumstances.

As I know, Jisun is living in America, because she coudn't live in Korea because of the prejudice against the disabed. All Koreans need to change their mind about the disabled.

Yeah, I remember Jisun even said she does not be depressed her situation and she love herself. Both of them (Jisun and Kellie) are so respectful women.
